AMB acquires a new site in the historic village of Horsington, Dorset for 9 unique country homes.

Updated: Sep 21, 2022

We are pleased to have acquired a beautiful site in the 'settlement of the horse keepers', otherwise known as Horsington, Somerset. Situated 4 miles south of Wincanton, this quaint village, steeped in history, lies on the edge of Horsington Marsh, part of the Blackmore Vale.

A combination of three and four bedroom homes, full of character, are currently being designed to compliment the village and the local surroundings.

Horsington has a great sense of community, with a local pub, well regarded primary school, church and village hall. Templecombe main line railway station is less than one mile away and provides a regular service to London/Waterloo and Exeter; it has two small shops, Post Office and doctors surgery. Wincanton is a short drive away and provides a comprehensive range of amenities with supermarkets. To the west lies the historic Abbey town of Sherborne which has an extensive range of leisure, shopping and educational amenities. The charming market town of Castle Cary, with a superb range of independent shops, also provides a mainline railway station on the London/Paddington line. Of note are the excellent choice of State and Private schools in the area, including Sherborne Boys, Girls and Prep, Wells Cathedral School, Millfield, Hazlegrove and Bruton.
